Cici is a designer and ceramicist based in Chicago.

Her work is rooted in a lifelong curiosity for how form, texture, and design can inspire enchantment. Growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was immersed in a vibrant landscape of textiles, natural forms, and rich artistic traditions—experiences that planted the seeds for her creative path. With a formal foundation in graphic design, she learned to channel ideas into purposeful visual communication, earning her BFA from the University of Minnesota in 2020. But it was through clay that she found a deeper, more tactile extension of her creative voice. Ceramics allows her to translate two-dimensional design thinking into intimate, three-dimensional objects.

What began with a hand-building class for her art minor evolved into a passion for handbuilt, sculptural forms, especially ceramic jewelry. Each piece she creates is part of an ongoing conversation between material, form, and function. She is drawn to ceramics for its endless possibilities—its invitation to play, explore, and push boundaries. Whether through subtle textures or bold shapes, she aims to create objects that spark curiosity, invite touch, and celebrate the beauty of experimentation.
